| Priority Numbero Uno, Extend Wade’s Contract | |
After a terrible showing in the 2007-08 NBA season, the Heat bounced back nicely in 2008-09 to finish with a record of 43-39 and pushed the Atlanta Hawks to the brink in the post-season. Now that – that is over, the Heat now are playing waiting games as to whether or not Wade will offer the contract extension in July. Dwyane Wade’s buzz of the possibility that he could leave Miami like many expect LeBron James to leave Cleveland isn’t as big, but it’s still a possibility nonetheless and agreeing to an extension would definitely get rid of the the stories and headlines that he is looking to go. Not too long ago Wade hinted at being happy and looking towards a long-term commitment that would keep him in Miami for the next seven seasons and that report bought plenty of smiles to the faces of the Heat’s fans as well as the organization. There are plenty of reasons for someone to stay with the Heat. They’re in South Beach, it’s an up and coming team, and the organization has shown that they are willing to commit to improve the team. Wade knows that and he knows as a player, there aren’t many better locations to be in. Posted in Uncategorized | Comments Off
